Technical Project Manager
We are seeking highly motivated Technical Project Managers who will directly impact the next-
generation of our products and services. You will play a hands-on role in the design and development of new digital apps as well as improvements to our existing digital portfolio. In this position you will be exposed to all software system components, including the UI, backend systems, database, performance tuning, security design, and mobile and desktop deployment. You will have the ability to grow your experience and explore new technologies within our cross-collaboration team setting that is leading the digital transformation for United Technologies.
As a member of a cross-functional team of product managers, software architects and designers, you will combine your project management and analytical skills to orchestrate the creation of web &
mobile apps that solve real world problems leveraging best of breed digital technologies. This role will also work closely with UTC's engineering, design, operations, marketing and service delivery teams to challenge the boundaries of what's possible. What You'll Do
" Manage project schedules, dependencies & critical paths, deadlines and product delivery.
" Collaborate with CyberSecurity, DevOps, Engineering, and Project Management teams to
" Share feedback and retrospective with teams (mentioned above) about tools / technical stacks.
" Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX requirements.
" Provision IT infrastructure for applications.
" Coordinate application deployment and monitoring within multiple IT infrastructures.
" Coordinate access to test environments and data stores.
" Understand client needs, and advocate on behalf of clients to ensure project success.
" Setting business goals, identifying appropriate resources, track and report on progress and
develop schedules for multiple projects.
" Establish and maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships.
" Escalate important issues and risks and seek resolution in a timely manner
" Manage changes in scope, timelines, personnel through the project lifecycle.
" Provide assistance with deployment and training activities.
" Ability to travel to client locations (primarily domestic) 25% of the time.
" 7+ years leading and project managing complex, large scale, IT/technical/engineering initiatives
" Experience utilizing cloud services and solutions.
" Deep understanding of software development/engineering lifecycle from conception to
" Experience working with technology infrastructure projects (IoT, networks, storage etc.) and
with current web technologies (especially Cloud).
" Prior experience working with or managing large technical programs, particularly at high growth
startups or Fortune 500 companies.
" Understanding of large-scale application architecture and integration patterns.
