Team Test Lead
*Candidate should NOT be overly technical in their test experience.
The Test Team Lead will supervise a team of testing analysts in the execution of UAT functions for a portfolio of projects to maintain and implement BBH's products and/or solutions. The Test Team Lead is responsible for supervising team members to successfully complete testing for a set of projects related to a particular business product or discipline. S/he ensure consistency of test procedures and standards across projects and programs. " Oversight of test planning and test case writing to ensure thorough, consistent and disciplined test approaches. Stays current on the latest test approaches and tools - transfers knowledge to the test team." Verifies quality of requirements, including testability, and ensures Test Traceability Matrix (tracing the test scripts and procedures to the requirements) is completed." Coordinates test-procedure walk through. Ensures that test process documentation is complete " Supervises test design, test procedures, test environment configuration and test execution and documentation of test case results, and resolution of defects" Provides oversight of test tool usage procedures to ensure consistency across programs. May interact with test tool vendor to identify best ways to leverage test tool on the project." Accountable for accurate and frequent test progress and RAG reporting to steering level resources. " Central point of contact for critical decisions and escalation issues. " Go To " person for testing problem solving and trouble shooting." Closure -- Oversight of project timelines and milestone tracking. " Program level subject matter expert for the test team." Provides technical leadership for the test pillar they oversee, including test strategy and approach." Develops and oversees execution of applicable user training for projects and programs. Provides training for staff on test methodologies and standards. " Leads discussions on how to solve problems by providing ideas, insightful solutions and strong decision-making leadership." Implements test process improvements resulting from lessons learned" Champions improved test practices and procedures, with Regional and Global Test Managers, as well as to Test Leads and Test Analysts. " Provides daily management of a test team across multiple projects or programs" Responsible for accurate test effort estimations and resource management to meet the needs of each project in their program(s). Management of consultant SOWs. " Manage resources effectively to maximize productivity" Coaches and develops Test Analysts and Senior Test Analysts to progress to leadership roles" Supervisor to Senior Test Analysts and Test Analysts BA/BS degree, and/or equivalent work experience.5 - 7 year related work experience. Financial services industry knowledge and experience a plus " 3+ years experience in software testing" Proficient in designing test suites" Has good understanding of design & design standards" Familiar with testing techniques " Understands various testing phases" Familiar with business area of application under test" Working knowledge of windows based applications, including MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. " Ability to recognize one's own strengths and limitations, taking appropriate initiative to pursue development activities and seek assistance as needed. " Analytical and problem solving skills to assess information through research and analysis. " Willingness to learn and can do attitude." Ability to quickly grasp and master job responsibilities, including new business knowledge and technical information." Ability to work in a team oriented environment. " Willingness to take ownership of assigned work and issues, while knowing when to escalate." Excellent written communication skills."
