Candidate will have proven experience and knowledge of financial business processes and technical design/development. This individual will also have a proven record of reliability and solid maintenance procedures. In this role the ideal candidate will be touching many different facets of the business, many processes being customer facing. The role will best fit someone who has the ability to adapt quickly to a variety of situations and robust problem solving skills.
Responsibilities:
" Responsible for the support & integration of the firm's critical Trading, Back & Middle office systems, including data transmissions/connections.
" Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using industry best practices.
" Proposes and analyzes solutions and efficiencies throughout the firm's eco-system and processes.
" The candidate will work closely with business contacts to provide solutions for their needs.
Required
" Experience in the financial industry (back-office experience preferred).
" Experience with Object-Oriented Language(s), Databases, and TSQL
" Bachelor's degree in computer science, related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
" The candidate must excel in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
" Willing to take ownership, and independently work toward implementation.
" Must be able to explain IT concepts to technically inexperienced individuals.
" Ability to provide support during non-standard and weekend hours as needed.
Preferred
" Experience working with the .Net Framework preferably C#.
" Experience in database design and querying preferably SQL Server.
" Experience in integrating multiple 3rd party systems.
" Extensive experience working with file transfer methods both server and client side preferably SFTP
" Experience in handling multiple projects at the same tim
