" GFC coordinates day-to-day implementation of the Firm's enterprise-wide financial crime prevention efforts.
" GFC includes several legal and compliance disciplines and has responsibility for governance, oversight and execution of the Firm's Anti-Money Laundering ( " AML ), Economic Sanctions, Anti-Corruption, and Government and Political Activities Compliance programs.
" GFC also develops and/or assists in the development of appropriate policies and procedures, including those designed to assist the business units to know their clients and conduct appropriate due diligence and to prevent, detect and report potentially suspicious activity.
" GFC has dedicated coverage managers and teams of analysts who advise and counsel each business unit regarding its AML, economic sanctions, and anti-corruption obligations of its particular clients and transactions.
" The GFC Governance team coordinates and supports critical aspects of the Firm's GFC Program by ensuring that the GFC Program has an effective formal governance framework to help identify and communicate GFC-related risks and issues to senior management of the Firm. The team's primary responsibilities are:
o Ensuring that key GFC-related risks and issues are identified and escalated to senior management and the Firm's Board of Directors, as appropriate, via formal GFC committees in furtherance of their oversight of the Firm's GFC program;
o Ensuring that GFC related risks and issues determined to be significant are tracked effectively to timely resolution;
o Ensuring that decisions made by GFC committees are disseminated appropriately;
o Assisting GFC committees in determining appropriate escalation paths for GFC-related risks and issues;
o Documenting via meeting minutes topics discussed and decisions made by GFC committees.
Job Description: As an Analyst with this team, you will assist with implementing the Firm's GFC governance framework to ensure that senior management and the Board are provided the necessary information to support an informed review and enable independent oversight of the Firm's GFC program. GFC has adopted a comprehensive, risk-based program to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and government guidance:
Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include the following activities:
" Provide general support to the GFC Governance Team.
" Assist the GFC Governance Team in all phases of the GFC Governance process, including all administrative aspects.
" Attend all committee and committee-related meetings to record detailed, accurate minutes that reflect attendance, complex topics discussed, and decisions made.
" Utilize PowerPoint to create and update materials
" Track all escalations, follow-up matters, and decisions made at committee meetings
" Maintain and frequently update the team's Sharepoint site
" Liaise with committee members and key business stakeholders as needed to effectuate the bilateral flow of information within the Framework.
" Exceptional organizational skills.
