The SharePoint Administrator will familiarize themselves with our current systems and architecture in order to recommend, and execute on, the appropriate design, build, and configuration of SharePoint online sites and site collections. This individual will perform site maintenance and provide insight and recommendations into other relevant SharePoint components while providing knowledge transfer to key internal technical staff.
The person in this role will act as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements and perform technical analysis for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. It is critical to collaborate with technical teams and architects to elicit technical requirements and constraints, as well as business partners and peers to understand the business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements so as to develop solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
Working hands-on with Microsoft technologies – including SharePoint, Office 365, Azure, SQL Server and Window Servers. Act as the SharePoint subject matter expert for the Technology Services O365 team. Administer all elements of Office 365 with specific focus on SharePoint. Day to day management of SharePoint Online environments including, but not limited to, site creations, maintenance of logs, usage reports and alerts. Development of SharePoint lists, libraries, web parts, workflows, sites/sub-sites, and SharePoint applications. Manage system security, access controls, and user permissions while ensuring compliance with the Information Security Officer' s guidelines and procedures. Translate business requirements into solutions, solving potentially complex problems. Maintain consistent, quality documentation to meet ongoing operations and business continuity requirements. Document SharePoint configuration and architecture, maintain software, patches, releases notes, and other relevant information for SharePoint and related services/servers. Transfer knowledge to key technical staff to ensure the sustainability of the SharePoint Online environment and assist in creating training materials for users of all experience levels. Assures continuity of the SharePoint sites for all system users. Be able to perform basic administration tasks in Powershell.
Bachelor' s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
At least three years experience in MS SharePoint administration experience is required.
Hands on Experience in using Web Parts, Site Collections, Content Deployment, Site Columns, Content Types, Authorizations, Workflows, Advanced Search, Master pages and Content pages, Search settings.
Experience in configuring service applications and configuring SharePoint Security.
Experience in migrating content from different data sources to SharePoint.
Experience building and managing SharePoint DR Infrastructure.
Proven experience with optimization, troubleshooting principles, methodologies and issue resolution techniques.
