Job Summary: The role works on a small team of analysts along with the Department Head to design and roll out risk tools that address organizational needs and regulatory mandates. This right candidate is a self-starter, with an innate work-ethic who desires to see their team succeed.

  • Assist the Risk Management department in the development and maintenance of desktop tools, built primarily in MS Office applications, designed to address the Firm's needs in Liquidity Risk, Credit Risk and Market Risk
  • Develop models, analyze large sets of data, and construct large and complex formula structures
  • Develop replicable processes which draw upon varied forms of electronic data
  • Quickly grasp and document existing processes, and identify data driven solutions to improve them

  • BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Decision Science, Computer Science or similar field
  • 1-3 years' experience in the Financial Services industry. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in Operations at a broker-dealer (trade administration, credit, margin, settlements, treasury ops)
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS office skills (including Excel and Access)
  • Intermediate to Advanced VBA
  • Basic understanding of Broker-Dealer operations
  • Must demonstrate strong accuracy and thoroughness in all facets of daily work
  • Excellent communication skills are critical, both verbal and written
  • Must be able to interface and articulate well with all levels of employees, including management, in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a professional group environment
  • Understanding or experience in securities settlement process is a plus
  • Experience working with trading desk administrative personnel is a plus
  • Previous experience in Market Risk, Liquidity Risk and/or Credit Risk at another broker dealer is a plus
  • Significant experience in data modelling using MS Office tools is a plus
