Ops Lead Specialist-CA Tax: is responsible for handing complex global processing, balancing and reconciling of custody positions related to tax reclaim entitlements. This would include activities such as; instruction receipt and authentication, entry instruction and verification (dual controls). In addition they are responsible for assisting the supervisor with enhancing the productivity of the unit and coordination of workflow management, training new employees and ensuring quality control standards are met.
" Ensure daily tax reclaim processing meets standards for both quality and timeliness." Coordinate control/production related activities." Coordinate intraday and end of day prioritization and reconciliation of daily work/proof and control." Gain efficiencies to improve individual productivity." Help to ensure all deadlines and requirements are being met." Manage daily production reporting." Monitor and assist in the resolution of complex issues." Review E&O situations and look for route cause and recommend corrective action." Follow up on open inquiries." Interact with other BBH departments on resolution of issue." Communicate professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues in order to minimize risk and exposure." Review and verify work of team members." Approve/provide sign-off of team members work." Works with sub custodian network to ensure timeliness and accuracy of payments." Provide training through assisting in the development of team members." Assist team members with day to day activities/provide back-up support." Effectively utilize and operate all tools and technology appropriate to the role" Contribute to Division or Firm process improvement activities." Maintain and apply knowledge of Division goals and business objectives; perform activities that support these goals" Acquire understanding of full scope of Division and how specific function impacts the firm" Contribute to Division or Firm process improvement activities." Multi-task efficiently within time constraints and with available resources" Contribute to Division/ Firm process improvement activities through improvement of STP (straight through processing)" Repair and resolve more complex discrepancies that impact client servicing in a timely and accurate manner
BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.1 to 2 years of custody or securities processing or other industry experience. Research, analysis and problem resolution skills. Ability to communicate professionally through effective verbal and written skills. Organizational skills and detail-oriented. Ability to multi-task. Ability to multi-task. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Proactive self starter who is detail and goal oriented. Apply basic understanding to effectively utilize core custody and BBH Operations systems to support client service deliverables Computer literate - MS Suite of products - Excel, Powerpoint, Word Internet knowledge
