COM Risk Java Developer

The team is responsible for the development, support and strategic direction of the systems that handle exchange and over-the-counter commodities products through all aspects of the trade life cycle.
We are seeking a hands-on Java developer for server-side, end of day trade, P&L and risk calculation and reporting. Candidate will be responsible full SDLC including understanding technology requirements, developing, building, testing, and deploying code to production as well as providing 3rd-level support by working with the front-line production management team.
The ideal candidate will also be interested in innovation. We intend to create microservices, focus on scalability and observability, and build a better distributed caching framework based on NoSQL database. The project will be suitable for learning the infrastructure and technology stack with frequent user interaction.
The candidate is responsible for contributing in the design, development, testing, and production deployment of projects, primarily in commodities risk, market data, and downstream feeds space.
Other responsibilities include collaborating with business sponsors, operations, strats, financial controllers, risk, and other IT teams.
- Core Java development (1-3 years)
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to operate in Linux/Unix environment
- Some knowledge of relational databases
- Some experience in Python, Perl, shell programming or other scripting language
