The Reception Team has the distinct responsibility of acting as the face of the company by screening all incoming calls to the main line, greeting everyone who walks into our lobbies across all sites, and serving as a central resource of information and assistance to employees across the firm. The team is also responsible for acting as the first line of security for visitors entering the building and enforcing access control policies. We are seeking a bright, highly professional, polished, team player with strong interpersonal skills who is interested in providing customer service to the highest standards while continually searching for ways to improve.

This person must be a common sense thinker who can apply sound judgment in new or ambiguous situations. While some of the day to day responsibilities can be similar or repetitive, the nature of the role will often present high pressure tactical ambiguity with high level or VIP customers where the receptionist must think on their feet to provide the best service. Many processes are well defined but there are always unexpected and new challenges that must be navigated outside of a documented playbook. The position operates with considerable autonomy where there are is no immediate management oversight to escalate more challenging transactions, these must be handled with independent judgment and a high degree of ownership mentality.

The individual also needs to be an effective multitasker in a fast paced environment with the ability to quickly reprioritize with an unpredictable and ever changing workload. The reception role can have pronounced highs and lows of incoming transactions and a successful receptionist must rapidly assess and triage competing customer interests in the moment.

This role reports directly to a Reception Team Lead and is an individual contributor position, responsible for providing excellent customer service while representing the company.
Prior reception experience not a requirement though similar customer service experience would be a good indicator of an aptitude for this line of work. A bachelor's degree is preferred, as a general bar of intellectual horsepower and drive for excellence, however a compelling resume and background could be other indicators. An ideal candidate will be open to working rotating non-traditional hours such as 7: 30-4: 30; 8: 00-5: 00; 9: 00-6: 00; be flexible about working at different sites, and will thrive in a fast paced and high energy work environment.
