Our client is a leading national retailer of nutritional supplements. With over 700 stores in the United States and a huge range of top-quality supplements, they make it easier for consumers to make healthier choices every day. We are currently seeking a L1/L2 Desktop Support Specialist to join the North Bergen location and assist with an ongoing project to implement AWS after configurations.
The Desktop Support Specialist will assist in making desktop configuration changes to Windows 7 based Client thin clients located in stores across the country. All work will be performed from the North Bergen, NJ location by remoting into the Client thin client devices.

Responsibilities:

Work with the L1 Service Desk team to respond to and resolve end-user IT service requests, which will be coming in from store employees
Analyze and appropriately escalate incoming support issues during the rollout of AWS
Prepare, test, deploy and support Client based desktop and laptop computers.
Install, configure and test approved licensed software applications.
Install, test and support computer peripherals such as laser printers and the device drivers required to access and operate the same.

Education/Certification:

Associate's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of intellectual instruction and work experience

Skill and Ability:
A minimum of (4) years of experience in information technology
In-depth knowledge around supporting both Mac's and PC's in a Windows/Microsoft environment
PC configuration and troubleshooting skills.
PC peripheral (e.G., printers) configuration and troubleshooting skills.
Very strong written and verbal communications skills.
Very strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong desire to learn and expand skills such as: VPN, MS Windows, Firewall, MS Outlook, MS Visio, MS Office
